Feted As Highest Forex Earner
Himalaya Expeditions, Inc. (HIMEX) has become the highest foreign
exchange earner among the adventure tour operators in Nepal.
The leading company has been recognized as the largest organization to
contribute foreign exchange to the state coffer.
The company was felicitated amidst a special ceremony organized to
celebrate the 28th World Tourism Day on September 27, 2007.
On behalf of the company, Mr. Sushil Bista received a letter of
appreciation and a plaque of honour from Minister for Culture, Tourism
and Civil Aviation, Mr. Prithvi Subba Gurung.
The company has been well-known at home and abroad due to its continued
efforts to promote Nepal as a premier adventure sports tourism
destination. Apart from handling expeditions and treks, it has been
organizing several adventure sports activities such as the Everest
Marathon as an international event annually on May 29 since 2003.
The celebration function was organized by the Ministry of Culture,
Tourism and Civil Aviation. |
